
‘Since she was able to read, Marth has been fascinated by stories. The ones that are written down but mostly the ones that are not being told. With her work Marth aims to ask questions and bring subjects forward rather than offering a solution’
Marth De Kinder (Tienen, 1996) graduated in 2018 as trapeze artist from the ‘Academy for Circus and Performance Arts’, where she was nominated for the Jacques de Leeuw Price. In 2019 she graduated from the masters ‘Performing Public Space’ for which she conducted her own research called ‘Through-Us’.
In 2018 she directed ‘Ruimte’ for ‘HetGevolg’. A theater performance with refugee and Belgian youngsters that combined theater, circus and movement to tell their stories. She worked together with Marit Stocker to create the performance ‘Moef’ with ‘Opening Doors’, a theater company for adults with mental disabilities.
She created a variety of solo circus-performances and was part of ‘Urban Fiction’ a performance directed by Pia Meuthen for Panama pictures.
She teaches and gives workshops for different organisations such as the circusschools Salto (Tienen) and Circus in Beweging (Leuven).
